Private business English lessons given in the office of my apartment in St. Paul's Bay, Malta.  Individual tuition, course timetable arranged to suit you .

Because I am only offering one-to-one teaching and there is no upper or lower limit on the number of hours/ lessons booked, there is only one price all year round and there are no discounts or extra 'high season' charges. I am also prepared to work on Maltese public holidays at no extra charge.

You arrange your flight and accommodation – bear in mind that a Maltese **** star hotel is probably the equivalent of a *** anywhere else – be guided by price - and I will teach to your requirements.

Testimonials

“I did a Business-English course in Malta in May 2004 for 2 weeks. June Cook is an EXCELLENT teacher. Her teaching programme was interesting, had variety and was the right level for my kind of business (insurance for an American Company). I really learned a lot and I enjoyed the time with her. June demonstrated high professionalism in her teaching methods.”
Francesca, Switzerland, 2004

“Both my wife and I enjoyed June's lessons a great deal. She challenged us and we had some interesting discussions. We learned a lot and came away from the course with much more confidence and fluency. We would be happy to give a personal recommendation.”
Ursula and Markus, Switzerland, 2005.

"It was great, because June had a good feeling for the knowledge and the potential of the students and she created exercises from which we could learn a lot, without missing out on fun."
Josef, Germany, 2004.

"In a private lesson, it is not so easy to be face to face with your teacher . With June, things took a natural course : in a friendly atmosphere, without pressure, she helps you make real improvements. You can speak about what you want, or need, in her courses. But as a qualified and experienced teacher, she never loses the purpose of the lesson and listening to you, she knows exactly which points you have to improve. Definitely a very efficient method!"
Corinne, France, 2004.

“I always enjoyed June's lessons. It was a pleasure to discuss economic theories with her.  It was a great experience for me to talk about such specific topics in English.  Furthermore, I was impressed by her background knowledge.”
Alex, Germany, 2004.

About me:
I worked in industry for fourteen years, stayed at home with children for five years then gained a combined Honours degree in Business, IT and teaching (in Sussex, England) and then a TESOL (Teaching English as a Second or Other Language) diploma. I moved to Malta in 2003.

Over the last ten years I have taught Business and Business English to male and female students aged between 16 and 65 from more than 30 different countries. My students have varied in their level of English and stage of their careers: I have taught recent graduates at Advanced level, about to start their first jobs, through to company directors who have not studied English since they were at school.

Why learn English in Malta?
English is widely spoken here, so even when you are not in class, you will be able to practice your English.  The Maltese people are very friendly and there are many places of interest to visit.  The weather is good from March to November and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from serving local and foreign food.  It is an ideal location to combine study with holiday.

Many of the English language schools in Malta are in St. Julian's or Sliema, close to the island's best night clubs. St. Paul's Bay is more for the mature student but is still a lively area with many bars, restaurants and a cinema around the corner.
